Rhys Williams

Rhys Williams has recorded at Abbey Road, sung in the Albert Hall, and even supported Cannon and Ball once. But he’s perhaps best known as the third most famous flautist in popular music history, having supplied a one-minute flute solo to Morrissey’s You Are The Quarry album in 2004. Residents of Waltham Forest will have the unique opportunity to hear Rhys performing songs from his forthcoming album (release date Monday 24th September) at The Stow Festival on piano and vocals, accompanied by his four-piece band.

His work has been variously described as ‘delightful’ by Q Magazine, ‘striking’ by Radio 4′s Front Row and ‘horrific’ by the NME. It also prompted two internet death threats.
