Sisteray embody the spirit of a ‘new breed’ of UK guitar bands combining anthemic melodies with lyrical observations on life and living in 21st Century Britain. The band are fronted by songwriters Niall Rowan (vocals) and Dan Connelly (guitar) , joined by bass player Mike Hanrahan and Italian drummer Marco Biagini.
In a short space of time, they have carved out a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting new bands. Coming together out of their shared love of the music of bands such as The Smiths, Velvet Underground, The Strokes and The Libertines.
Their most recent single ‘No Escape’ was recorded at Bark Studios, Walthamstow, London (famous for Primal Scream’s critically acclaimed ‘Screamadelica’) and co-produced by Brian O’Shaughnessy and former Dodgy manager Andrew Winters, It has been championed by the likes of Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing and Gary Crowley on BBC Radio London and the video, a short film by BAFTA nominated director Will De Ritter, has received over 10,000 views on Twitter. Sisteray are recording over the summer and their new EP is due for release in the autumn.
