Interview: The Priscillas

The Priscillas will be playing one of a hotly anticipated show at Stow Festival on Saturday. They perform with 1914s and The November Five on what promises to be a raucous rock ‘n’ roll night. We have a chat with them to look forward to the show.

Hi The Priscillas. Welcome to Stow Festival! What have you got in store for your performance?

We’re preparing a stomping hit parade for Stow festival, as well as glitter bombs and dancing dwarfs. It’s our first time in the East End and we’re going the whole hog!

Aren’t you heading straight off from your performance to play another
gig? That’s hardcore!

Yup! We’re shooting off to The Lexington to play with our favourite Italian glam combo, Giuda, and London punk rock sweethearts the Spivs. How were we girls to say no?! It’s going to be a wild night!

What have you got in store for the rest of the year?

We’re aiming to do 3 gigs in a night!! We’re heading into the studio next month to record new songs, and have a fabulous Halloween show coming up on 27th October at Die Freche Muse in The Dalston area, and hoping to fill the calendar for the rest of 2012 and 2013.

We’ll also be saying farewell to our beloved drummer, Stu, who’s leaving to dedicate more time to his family. But we’ll be welcoming a fab new gal on drums called Lisa. A sad goodbye, but a happy new chapter for The Priscillas. Watch this space!

The Priscillas play at the Rose & Crown on Saturday 22 September with 1914s and The November Five. Entry is £5 on the door.
