The full schedule for Walthamstow’s award-winning music festival has been published, with over 100 acts playing across the four days. The fifth Stow Festival covers every corner of E17 and is shaping up to be the best yet.
Among the acts newly announced, scuzzrockers Brain Washington (pictured) headline a night of hard rock at Pulse Studios on the festival Friday night. We’ve got Mod-inspired new-wave/Britpop at Chequers in the form of Matt Churchill and Dr Bird, while things take a turn for the country rock at Warrant Officer in the form of Bob Collum & The Welfare Mothers and EAST Lonesome Drifters. She17 will be presenting #SHEFEST, a night of exceptional female musicianship including Crow Hall and Sulk.
On Saturday, Walthamstow Acoustic Massive are curating over 160 performers in the Town Square for a musical feast for all the family. Joining them will be, among others, Dhruv Arts and Jyotsna Srikanth (pictured).
Also on the festival Saturday, we are pleased to announce party-starter DJ Jimi Needles playing a special show at Cafe 56 at 4pm. During Saturday afternoon you can also find performers such as Julie McKee at Bygga Bo, Lewis Barfoot at the Rose & Crown, and our indie all-dayer at Wild Card, featuring Without Fidel and Blank Bibles.
On Saturday evening we have a packed night of music, including Graham Larkbey & The Escape Committee at the Warrant Officer, at Chequers you can hearformer frontwoman from Toys in London/The Ayes Silvi making a return to the live scene, and a techno all-nighter at Pulse with Dave Congreve and Keith Hunter (pictured).
The music continues on Sunday at Wild Card Brewery, Le Delice, St Mary’s Church, Chequers and Rose & Crown. The line-up for the Sunday at the Warrant Officer will bring the festival to a storming close, with Pavement-inspired outfit smallgang (pictured), rockstar-in-the-making Kate, and the heartfelt emotions of Liv Patton.
